02 Principal Investigator
Dr. Surya Prakash Singh, FRSC
Senior Principal Scientist · Polymers & Functional Materials Department, CSIR-IICT
Dr. Singh studied chemistry at the University of Allahabad and completed his PhD in 2005. After a research associateship at IICT, he spent five years in Japan — as a postdoctoral fellow at Nagoya Institute of Technology, Assistant Professor at Osaka University and researcher at NIMS, Tsukuba — before returning to CSIR-IICT in 2011.
His group designs functional π-conjugated molecules for photonic applications. He was a BASE Fellow at UC Santa Barbara with Prof. Bazan's group, and has published over 225 papers, reviews and patents, edited two books and authored a book chapter.
